Fundada en el otoño de 2008, somos una de las organizaciones 501c3 sin fines de lucro más grandes y exitosas de San Diego dedicada a salvar perros sin hogar. Nuestros fundadores reconocieron que realmente se necesita un pueblo de servicios municipales, organizaciones sin fines de lucro y voluntarios privados para servir a la población de perros sin hogar. Ante la necesidad urgente y continua de prevenir la eutanasia innecesaria y la falta de vivienda, nuestra misión es mantener altos estándares de excelencia en eficiencia y nivel de atención para todos y cada uno de los perros. Somos un grupo de rescate de acogida en el hogar sin jaulas que es flexible y no específico de raza. También rescatamos perros mayores y aquellos con problemas médicos o de salud, incluidos procedimientos para salvar vidas. Las actividades generales de nuestro programa abordan tres objetivos principales del programa: rescatar, rehabilitar y realojar a los perros necesitados.

Best Friends Animal Society  works alongside thousands of animal shelters, rescue groups, and other animal welfare organizations to save the lives of cats and dogs across the country and to make the entire country no-kill by 2025.

The Best Friends Network is comprised of thousands of animal welfare groups from every single state, all working to save the lives of pets in their own communities.

Ranging from animal shelters and rescue groups to spay/neuter and trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) organizations, they collaborate with Best Friends to save even more lives in every corner of the country.

Best Friends provides marketing help, fundraising events, webinars, grants, and other resources so that, together, we can Save Them All.
