From Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue

Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue (SSR) es una organización de rescate 501c3, compuesta exclusivamente por voluntarios, enfocada principalmente en el rescate de perros pastor alemán/mezcla de pastor. Estamos ubicados en el Valle de Shenandoah, Virginia, pero ampliamos nuestro alcance y trabajamos para salvar a los perros pastor alemán en zonas densamente pobladas de todo el país, principalmente en el sur de Texas. Si bien nuestra organización es joven (fundada en enero de 2017), nuestros voluntarios llevan muchos años rescatando pastores alemanes. Nuestra esperanza es rescatar, rehabilitar y reubicar a todos los pastores alemanes que lo necesiten. Tras años dedicando nuestras vidas a otros rescates de pastor alemán, decidimos aventurarnos en nuestro propio rescate para expandir nuestro alcance a territorios que nuestro rescate actual no ha cubierto. Tenemos una gran pasión por ayudar a la raza, pero nos gustaría extender una mano amiga a los diversos pastores necesitados: Shiloh, holandeses, belgas, etc. También nos apasiona tratar de ayudar a rescatar perros en la costa oeste y los estados del sur, donde hay más perros muriendo en refugios que rescates para mantenerse al día con ellos. SSR promueve la esterilización/castración y la vacunación como una forma de reducir la población y las enfermedades entre estos perros.

Best Friends Animal Society  works alongside thousands of animal shelters, rescue groups, and other animal welfare organizations to save the lives of cats and dogs across the country and to make the entire country no-kill in 2025.

The Best Friends Network is comprised of thousands of animal welfare groups from every single state, all working to save the lives of pets in their own communities.

Ranging from animal shelters and rescue groups to spay/neuter and trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) organizations, they collaborate with Best Friends to save even more lives in every corner of the country.
