Jasmine O'Keefe

As South Central Senior Manager for Best Friends Animal Society, Jasmine O’Keefe partners with shelters across the region to help them reach their lifesaving goals and build sustainable no-kill programs. With more than a decade of leadership in animal shelter management, she has overseen everything from budget development and staff training to large-scale community engagement efforts. Before joining Best Friends, Jasmine directed League City Animal Care in Texas, where she championed a community-centered approach to animal services and developed innovative canine behavior support programs for dogs both inside and outside the shelter.

Jasmine is passionate about creating practical, people-centered solutions that improve both animal outcomes and workplace culture. She believes in meeting challenges with creativity and collaboration, whether that means rethinking adoption flow, developing new training approaches, or helping shelter teams design long-term strategies for success.

Outside of her work, Jasmine finds inspiration in nature and movement. She enjoys dancing, backpacking, camping, and reading, and loves any chance to combine adventure with creativity — whether it’s getting lost in a good book, exploring a new trail, or practicing ballet on pointe shoes.
