Tracy Hahn

Tracy Hahn is a Strategist with the Field Training Initiatives team at Best Friends Animal Society, where she supports animal control professionals through training, mentorship, and practical field resources. With a background rooted in humane law enforcement, Tracy brings frontline experience and a strong commitment to advancing the role of animal control officers as key partners in public safety and animal welfare.

Before joining Best Friends, Tracy served as an Animal Control Officer with San Diego County Department of Animal Services and as a Humane Law Enforcement Officer with San Diego Humane Society. She has handled complex cases involving dangerous dogs, cruelty, neglect, and community safety, and has worked closely with prosecutors and partner agencies. Tracy is a California POST-certified Field Training Officer and continues to focus on strengthening officer training and support nationwide. 

Tracy is based out of San Diego, California and enjoys spending her free time exploring the trails and mountains with her dog, Wink.
