Regional Specialist
Christine Morey
Christine Morey serves as a Regional Specialist for the South Central region with Best Friends Animal Society. Her animal welfare journey began in Boulder, Colorado, when she took a job at a holistic pet care store. What started as a curiosity quickly grew into a calling, sparked by the fact that the store’s owner ran a cat rescue alongside the store.
Christine’s passion followed her to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked as a brand representative for Nulo Pet Food. During that time, she began looking for ways to get involved in animal rescue and signed up to volunteer with a local cat rescue. These experiences deepened her interest in animal welfare and set her on a path toward shelter and rescue work.
After relocating to Dallas, Texas, Christine joined Operation Kindness, a lifesaving animal shelter in the DFW metroplex, where she became actively involved in shelter operations. Her time there opened her eyes to the importance of supporting municipal shelters and the lifesaving work they do.
In addition to her role with Best Friends, Christine serves on the advisory board for Dogs for Better Lives, a nonprofit that selects shelter dogs to become service animals and more. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her partner, exploring diverse cuisines, spending time with her cats, playing video games, and attending music festivals.
