Thank You for Making the 2026 Pet Lovers’ Choice Awards a Success!
America voted, and the results are in. The Pet Lovers’ Choice Awards — the first-ever fan-voted, nationally broadcast awards show celebrating America’s dogs and cats — exceeded every expectation, and the animals are better for it.
More than 10 million votes were cast nationwide, generating far more proceeds than anticipated. As a result, Best Friends Animal Society awarded 116 grants totaling $337,000 — more than triple the $100,000 originally planned — to shelters and rescues who’s adoptable or alumni pets received the most votes.
Top Grant Recipient
Husky Halfway House Foundation in Eufaula, Oklahoma received the top grant of $30,000. This nonprofit rescue takes in huskies from shelters providing full medical care, rehabilitation, and placement in loving homes.
“This grant will allow us to complete some long-awaited and meaningful projects on our property, including finishing our electrical infrastructure and completing our dog park. Beyond the physical improvements, this recognition brings something just as important: visibility. The exposure from this award will help more people discover our rescue, which directly translates to more adoptions and more lives saved. That ripple effect is something we don’t take lightly.”
The remaining 115 organizations received grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to continue their lifesaving work for dogs and cats across the country.
