The 2025 Bring Love Home Challenge

Together, let’s bring love home.

Take the leap to make adoptions and fostering more accessible.

Past challenge participants used data-backed research to get more pets in homes by reducing adoption fees, shortening applications, eliminating home checks, offering multilingual adoption and foster support, and more — with many continuing these practices even after the challenge ended.

Changes like these can help you engage your community and increase the number of pets going home.

It all starts today with the Bring Love Home Challenge!

All spots for the Bring Love Home Challenge have been filled. The challenge will run from December 1-31, 2025.

Participating in this challenge can open up your organization to many more homes, and create lasting impact. Shelters and rescues that participated in the June 2024 Bring Love Home Challenge achieved significant results and the impact continued beyond the June challenge:

11.4%
increase in adoption and foster placements in June 2024
34,557
dogs and cats were placed in adoptive or foster homes in June 2024 — 3,548 more than the same time the year before
24.6%
increase in adoptions between June and September 2024 for foster-based rescues
7.6%
increase in adoptions between June and September 2024 for all participating organizations
90%+
of reporting organizations stated they were still doing the practices three months after the challenge completed.

The impact of the challenge was incredible. We surpassed our metrics from last year in all categories; fostering animals, adopting animals, both for cats and dogs, and adding new volunteers during this time frame. We are going to continue implementing the open adoption policies and fostering policies.
