Amigos de los Animales (FOTAS) es una organización sin fines de lucro fundada en 1990 para proporcionar voluntarios y financiación con el fin de cuidar y encontrar hogares permanentes y amorosos para perros y gatos necesitados del sur de Oregón. FOTAS proporciona voluntarios para trabajar individualmente con perros en el refugio local del condado. Su labor ayuda a reducir el estrés de la perrera, proporciona entrenamiento y aumenta las posibilidades de adopción para que salgan del estresante entorno del refugio. FOTAS gestiona un sólido programa de acogida para perros y gatos, donde los animales se crían en hogares amorosos, reciben atención médica preventiva y de rehabilitación, y son esterilizados/castrados antes de su adopción. Estos animales son adoptados directamente de hogares de acogida voluntarios. Nuestra misión es reclutar y capacitar a voluntarios y donantes que contribuirán a salvar vidas aumentando las adopciones de mascotas en el sur de Oregón, mejorando la calidad de vida de los animales del refugio, promoviendo la esterilización y castración, y facilitando actividades de divulgación y educativas sobre el trato humano a los animales de compañía en todo el condado de Jackson.

Who we are

Best Friends Animal Society  works alongside thousands of animal shelters, rescue groups, and other animal welfare organizations to save the lives of cats and dogs across the country and to make the entire country no-kill in 2025.

The Best Friends Network is comprised of thousands of animal welfare groups from every single state, all working to save the lives of pets in their own communities.

Ranging from animal shelters and rescue groups to spay/neuter and trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) organizations, they collaborate with Best Friends to save even more lives in every corner of the country.

Best Friends provides marketing help, fundraising events, webinars, grants, and other resources so that, together, we can Save Them All.
