The Forgotten Pet Advocates (FPA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal advocacy organization, proudly serving Houston and surrounding areas. We fund critical veterinary care including sterilization for animals that have been abandoned at boarding facilities and stray animals found in the streets in Houston. Then we network through social media to increase the animal’s visibility, and with off- site adoptions. Our efforts result in decreased intake at local shelters, the kennel owner, allows us to help versus turning them into animal control, which helps lower euthanasia rates and more finding permanent homes! We are also striving to make Houston a NO – KILL community. The Forgotten Pet Advocates Website

We rescue older domestic cats (must be 10 or over) who are homeless or in a life-threatening situation. Typically our residents come from shelters (where they are too old to adopt) or from Vets who possess an older cat, who has been surrendered and scheduled for euthanasia.
We then care for them the rest of their lives. When they pass, we have a beautiful "Butterfly Memorial Garden" where their ashes are scattered.

Our mission is to save the lives of and provide a safe, healthy and loving home to cats who would be declared un-adoptable and immediately euthanized in high-kill animal control facilities because they are blind or test positive for FIV or feline leukemia. Without this sanctuary, they would have no chance at life. We are committed to educating the public about these cats and their ability to be loving family pets and to providing a strong community spay and neuter program to help reduce the number of unwanted cats in shelters. http://www.blindcatrescue.comBlind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary Website
