Since its founding in 1971, Tree House Humane Society has created innovative and progressive approaches to animal welfare that not only enhance the lives of companion animals in the community but also bring a greater awareness of animal welfare issues to the general public. Tree House empowers communities of caregivers to protect, nurture, and support new solutions so no cat suffers.

We dedicate our efforts towards rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming pets abandoned in local shelters. We typically rescue from high-kill inner city facilities (South Los Angles, Downey, Carson). We have also taken in animals that were saved from hoarding situations and abandoned by families.

Mission- To be a voice for the voiceless by advocating for animal welfare with the goal of finding permanent, caring homes for the animals under our care. To provide a safe haven for abused, neglected and unwanted animals. Encourage spay/neuter and promote adoptions. Increase local fosters and provide medical care, socialization and a safe environment for our animals. Network with other rescues in effort to place animals in permanent and loving homes.

Stop Domestic Violence provides direct services to victims of domestic violence. The Furry Friends Project assists victims, in all 50 states, in safely removing pets from the abusive home, providing the care needed and preventing shelter intake. Furry Friends provide temporary boarding, transportation, supplies, food, and medical care. We keep the furry families together.

SOS Beagle Rescue works with shelters to rescue abandoned beagles and provide temporary housing for them via our foster network until such time that each may be placed in a loving, safe environment and a permanent home and assists owners no longer able to care for their beagles in finding new and permanent homes for them.

The Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter's mission is to balance the health, safety, and welfare of animals and the general population of Lafourche parish by promoting and motivating responsible pet ownership and adoption. LPAS houses unwanted and stray pets, operates an adoption program and a low-cost spay/neuter program, and assists the public in animal related problems.

Shelter Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to promote the health and welfare of homeless animals in St. Charles, MO. We are not a rescue group; we are a shelter assistance and networking group whose purpose is to work directly with animals at St. Charles City Animal Control and to help them find rescue or adoption.

POPP is a local, no-kill, non-profit, all volunteer organization. POPP is the only rescue organization in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas which absolutely requires that ALL pets be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption.

Indianapolis Animal Care & Control (IACC) is the state's largest animal shelter, taking in between 16,000 and 18,000 animals per year.
