If you’ve ever wondered what it means to save a dog rescued from an illegal fighting ring, watch this video about Meryl. Yes, she was one of the 22 dogs rescued from the Michael Vick dogfighting case. But she was so much more than that. Once she got to Best Friends and found safety and love, she was pure joy.  

Our hearts broke when Meryl passed away last month because it’s always sad to lose someone you love. But her legacy, along with the fact that other dogs like her still need help, keep us all going and determined each day to Save Them All.
