Special Criteria What does this mean?
Sanctuary Visit Required

Hercules is a super playful dog who loves meeting new people at the Sanctuary. He is so people oriented that he always wants to be with someone and will whine when he's not. At Dogtown, he loves meeting and playing with new dogs and has demonstrated amazing dog skills. He will adapt to other dogs' play styles, but he does love to roughhouse, run and jump around. In the past, during times of very high excitement, he has grabbed other dogs, so his environment should be controlled. He can get excited and jumpy when he's being leashed up as well, so he is working on calm leashing at the Sanctuary.
Hercules was born in 2016 and came to the Sanctuary from a Best Friends Network partner shelter in Florida. Because he has bitten in the past, he is working on muzzle training at Dogtown and will need a dog-savvy, adult-only household. An active home would also be best for Hercules, though he does know when it's time to chill out and relax.
