Improve the state of animal services in LA
Urge city leaders to accept free support for pets in LA shelters.
In 2020, Los Angeles became the largest city in the country to achieve no-kill status when the city’s save rate reached 90.4% for all cats and dogs.
Recently, however, Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS) has struggled to maintain its lifesaving efforts.
Best Friends has extended an offer of support with ideas and resources to help LAAS get back on track—but the LA City Council needs to accept before we can move forward.
