Utah County, Utah

UT: Save animals in Utah County!

Urge your city to ask animal services to adopt lifesaving changes.

Right now, Utah County has the highest euthanasia rate in the entire state of Utah, largely because the cities in the North Utah Valley Animal Services (NUVAS) special service district trap, impound, and kill healthy and treatable cats at alarming rates.

Trap and remove is ineffective population management and only wastes taxpayer dollars and officer time.

There are better practices and programs that could lead to NUVAS reaching no-kill, meaning more animals leave the shelter alive.

TAKE ACTION: Ask your city leaders to urge NUVAS to adopt new programs and policies that will result in more animals leaving the shelter alive.
