Join us for the conference happening July 11-13 in Orlando, Florida!

What to expect when you join us in Orlando for the Best Friends National Conference

Here are all the amazing things included in your conference registration

More than 80+ sessions to choose from

Our goal is to provide you with a wide array of session topics filled with actionable and practical lifesaving strategies you can take home to fast-track lifesaving at your organization. And, as an attendee, you’ll automatically have free access to recordings of all general sessions, along with a selection of breakout sessions. The session recordings will be available on demand in the conference app several weeks after the event. Separate recordings won’t be available for purchase.

The Hub

Visit the Hub daily to enjoy delicious food, network with other attendees, engage with various sponsors and exhibitors, meet representatives from Best Friends, and shop for pet and human gear.

The BIPOC Lounge

Join us in the BIPOC Lounge: a space for our Black, Indigenous, and people of color attendees to connect, gather thoughts, and hang out between sessions or during breaks. Our goal is for you to feel safe, comfortable, and supported while at our conference, and we hope that this space is valuable to you.

Well-being activities

No matter your role when you care for animals, it’s essential to care for yourself, too. Join us in the Well-Being Room and other designated outdoor areas to treat yourself to plenty of well-being activities that stimulate your mind and body.

Plenty of delicious food

A continental breakfast and a buffet lunch — both served in the Hub — are included daily. Coffee, water, and tea will be available at each meal. All food served follows a vegan diet.

Closing party

Join us Saturday night for an awesome after-party with delicious food stations, drinks, music, games, and more. This party will give you one last celebration with all your new friends in animal welfare.

An on-site bookstore

We’ll have a bookstore on-site where you can thumb through books recommended by our speakers and attendees. If you like what you see, you can purchase the book and have it shipped to your home.

Connect with fellow conference attendees

Be sure to join our Best Friends National Conference Attendees Facebook page to get excited about this year’s conference. As the conference gets closer, it’s a great place to plan hotel and ride-shares, talk about trendy dinner spots, discuss how to use the information you’ve learned at the conference, and so much more.

Why we’re headed to Orlando, Florida

Our goal of leading the nation to no-kill in 2025 is just on the horizon, and that’s why we strategically hold our conferences in states where pets need the most help.

Although Florida has made tremendous progress in lifesaving throughout the years, its lifesaving gap continues to be one of the largest in the country, making Florida one of our highest priority states. Hosting our annual conference this year in Orlando enables staff and volunteers from shelter and rescue organizations throughout Florida to access more easily the critical tools and information they need to save more lives.

Our work to save every pet who can be saved drives us to partner with and aid communities of all backgrounds and values across all political ideologies. Best Friends is committed to making our conference a safe and welcoming place for all attendees, and the city of Orlando shares that same commitment, having received a perfect score on the 2023 Human Rights Campaign’s annual Municipal Equality Index!

We’re thrilled to gather a talented and diverse group of our nation’s leading animal welfare professionals in Orlando to share their latest data-driven techniques and most thought-provoking ideas to save more lives in the Sunshine State and across the country.
