Sr Strategist, Event Marketing (Temporary)

Location: Remote (USA)

Hiring Range: This position's hiring range is anticipated to be $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience.

Manager interviews will occur weekly until the position is filled (recruiter phone screens will occur before a manager interview).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement event marketing strategies to meet company objectives, managing budgets and timelines to deliver high-quality marketing campaigns for events that include National Conference (B2B) and Key Donor Weekends/Galas
  • Coordinate with various teams to organize events, including venue, vendor management, logistics, budgeting, physical and virtual presence and attendee experience
  • Partner with Brand Strategy and lead Marketing strategy and execution with plans that span design, marketing materials across all channels, delivery and measurement for events
  • Utilize social media and digital platforms to promote events and create engaging content to attract attendees.
  • Analyze the success of each event and prepare reports on key outcomes and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event marketing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all events comply with relevant regulations and legal requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, both B2B and B2C experience required, with a strong background in event marketing and strategy development.
  • Demonstrated success in marketing national and local events for B2B and B2C brands, with a preference for experience in non-profits and/or animal welfare or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively, with a knack for storytelling, data collection, experience design, and engaging diverse audiences.
  • Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to promoting the mission of our organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work at a computer for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, arm and hand motion.
  • Ability to travel as required, anticipated up to 30%.
