Charles River Alleycats (CRA) is the leading trap-neuter-return (TNR) organization in the Greater Boston Area. The mission of CRA is to address the overpopulation of cats and kittens by reducing the number of homeless and feral cats in the Greater Boston area through non-lethal means. Our goals are 1) to ultimately end unnecessary feline euthanasia in the Boston open admission shelter by reducing the “supply” of cats into the shelter and 2) to improve the lives of feral cats on the street which will never enter the shelter system.  CRA’s primary tool to achieve its goals is sterilization.
