From Rio Grande Valley Humane Society
The Humane Society of Harlingen's mission is to save animals lives. We care for over 100 animals each day. Many of the dogs and cats have been surrendered by their owners, found as strays, abused or injured. They require daily care which includes food, shelter, medical assessment and love. As each animal awaits to be adopted, we do our best to meet their every need. Through our adoption, volunteer, and foster programs, we inform and educate the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership. We have created a partnership with Best Friends and are committed to improving the save rate at our shelter, ultimately become a no-kill shelter.
