The mission of the Humane Society/SPCA of Nelson County is to improve animal and public welfare through rescue, care, and adoption of “homeless” companion animals, through our no-kill animal shelter, low cost spay-neuter-vaccine programs, animal transport for adoption elsewhere, trap-neuter-release programs for un-socialized cats, and related services.
