From Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, Inc.
The shelter was founded on the ideals that we wanted to give the best possible care to the animals at our facility, no matter how short or how long their stay with us may be.From the inception of our shelter, we have seen ourselves as a dedicated group of professionals working together to do an excellent job for the animals, the citizens, and the profession. One of the strong points of our philosophy is our teamwork attitude and our emphasis on communication. We believe in the delivery of up-to-date services to the animals in the most compassionate and humane manner that we can carry out as well as being caring and sensitive to the citizens coming to our facility. Our goal every day is to lessen euthanasia by reducing the pet overpopulation through public outreach, humane education, marketing/advertising, an effective spay/neuter program, and effective fostering and adoption programs.
