Our primary mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused, abandoned, neglected, unwanted and otherwise homeless dogs and cats, to the best of our ability. Founded in 1998, we have matched hundreds dogs and cats with their perfect, forever homes, where they otherwise would have been sent to the Rainbow Bridge.

G.R.E.A.T. Rescue of Northeast Florida, Inc., founded in 2000, is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing Golden Retrievers with loving, responsible families. Served by a Board of Directors and devoted volunteers, G.R.E.A.T. has placed over 750 dogs in need in caring homes. G.R.E.A.T. also is affiliated with the Golden Retriever Club of America Rescue Committee, Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue and PETCO Foundation.

The Humane Society for Boone County is a not-for-profit organization almost entirely volunteer operated and dedicated to the task of animal welfare, rescue and education. The shelter operates through a network of donors, volunteers and foster families. We are a managed admission shelter. By carefully managing the acceptance of owner-surrendered animals we can improve animal flow, reduce intake and better serve the community.

E.A.R.S. Rescue(a 501(c)3 non profit) is not just a sheltersanctuary for animals, but for the people that love and care for them as well. We pride ourselves on the fact that our animals are all happy and well taken care of until they find their new home. As volunteers of E.A.R.S. we open our hearts and our homes to animals in need, as long as that may be.

FLUFF Animal Rescue group exists to save lives and make a difference! Through community awareness, assistance, education and rescue, we aim to confront animal over-population and shelter over-crowding. We are a foster-based, donor-funded community rescue, (a 501c3 public not-for-profit charity).

Animal Control only impounds dogs at this time. Due to the number of animals received, Animal Control is unable to keep them forever, so their time is limited. Strays brought into the pound are held for 5 days before being available to the public for adoption or rescue. This allows time for owners to be reunited with their pets. We recommend TAGGING and/or MICROCHIPPING your pets. We do scan for microchips and check for tags at our facility. The public is encouraged to visit during normal business hours if interested in adopting a dog from Animal Control. More information on adoption is available at the facility. We strive to maintain good working relationships with area rescues in order to give each dog the best chance for a better life. We highly recommend all pet owners spay and neuter their dogs. The Union County Animal Control will require all adopted dogs to be spayed or neutered.

Our mission is to rescue, re-home or otherwise save as many dogs and puppies as possible from the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Any animal we come across who finds themselves without a home will not go hungry or unloved. We will care for and provide comfort and aid to homeless pets in a variety of ways. If the animal is tame, we will find a home for them. If the animal is feral, we will care for the animal in their own environment. We will do what we can to ensure the feral population will be kept to a minimum. We also seek to educate pet owners about the importance of a true commitment to their pet as a family member to help ensure their pet does not become another homeless statistic as well.
