Saint Louis County Animal Care and Control strives to protect the health and welfare of people and animals in Saint Louis County.  This is accomplished by controlling populations of stray and feral animals, enforcing County ordinances that affect animal care, and providing exemplary care for animals housed at the animal shelter.  Our four areas of priority are to: promote community education and outreach; recruit, develop, and retain a high-quality volunteer and staff workforce; implement effective public policy and ordinances; and provide high-quality care for the animals that rely upon us.
