A cat who was bullied by many other cats gets special status as an office cat. He is now living the high life and has his own cattery!

Sometimes good things can come from wearing a "Kick me" sign. Binky the cat came to Best Friends years ago because of his FIV status. And, well, other cats don’t seem to like him all that much. That, or maybe he just kept ending up in a grumpy crowd. Whatever the explanation, he was picked on a lot. Not all the time, of course, but enough to make him think that the world wasn’t being entirely fair to a friendly, gentle guy like himself.

Picked-on cat gets special job

Well, things always have a way of working out, don’t they? The Maintenance Department at Best Friends decided that it was time for another office cat. They’d had one, but she passed on a year ago and they weren’t quite ready for a new arrival. Until recently.

Enter Binky. Poor little picked-on, nobody-likes-me Binky won the high honor of being the maintenance staff’s one and only office cat. He’s adored and cuddled by every person in the office.

New outdoor cattery for deserving kitty

Binky also lives in high style. People who work at Best Friends come from a great variety of backgrounds. Naturally, the folks at Maintenance are really good at building things. Things like, … oh … an enormous cattery! Here’s how this works: You start with a group of people who like to make stuff. Throw in a super friendly cat who needs an outdoorsy place all his own. What do you end up with? Trump Tower, kitty style! Binky’s new house really is something to see.

Hmm. You don’t think he actually planned this out in advance, do you?
