Evan Parker

Director of Constituent Conversion and Optimization

As Best Friends' Director of Constituent Conversion and Optimization, Evan Parker works every day to help people feel inspired by their love of pets, get what they need from our web sites and web platforms, and become active supporters of Best Friends.

Evan has two decades of experience in helping nonprofits use technology, fundraising and integrated communications to best engage their supporters. He has worked with many of the strongest nonprofit brands around, including World Wildlife Fund, United Nations Foundation, 4-H, American Association for the Advancement of Science, USAID, Catholic Relief Services and the American Cancer Society.

Evan spent seven years leading The Nature Conservancy's integrated supporter engagement practice. And he has worked for a series of data, fundraising and messaging agencies supporting enterprise nonprofits. He spent 10 semesters as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, lecturing on the drivers of nonprofit support and the best ways to activate audiences to support causes.

Evan lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Tasha, and two alarmingly great kids. He's been busy rescuing all manner of animals since he was eight years old, and his family currently includes two very well-loved cats, Kittery and Rangeley.
