Hiring Range: This position’s hiring range is anticipated to be between $64,000 and $69,000 annually, depending on experience, plus great benefits!
Position Summary: Responsible for reconciliation of various payroll data entered into the Workday payroll system to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Review of time entered to ensure compliance with company policies including but not limited to entering employee data, reviewing time data, and proposed payroll output. Supports the Senior Manager of Payroll in the operation, maintenance and management of all Workday payroll-related systems and solutions including working with the payroll processor OneSource Virtual (OSV) on payroll and payroll tax related matters. Responsible for reviewing and updating state and local payroll taxes and management of state unemployment account management. Manage payroll taxes assigned to workers when address changes occur. Review and process notices received from Federal, State and local agencies related to payroll taxes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data entry in support of the core payroll system as needed to ensure appropriate entry of time, earnings, deductions and taxes.
Work with the Senior Manager of Payroll to change data, build custom reports, validate data changes, and communicate changes to others impacted by said changes in payroll or across the organization.
Act as a support member for the Workday payroll system as it relates to payroll processing.
Work with Senior Manager of Payroll to create procedures for the handling of payroll issues and processes that can impact payroll and payroll reporting.
Monitor payroll taxes in federal and all applicable states to ensure enrollment and timely filing/payment including updating tax rates as they change throughout the year.
Review and update state and local payroll tax information on Workday for company and employee reporting.
Communicate with various levels of staff to ensure timely entry, submission and approval of timecards.
Ensure all time is submitted and approved for payroll by deadline and ensure payroll is audited before final.
Ensure payroll is processed for each period by the deadline.
Review payroll deduction records to ensure proper deductions are taken.
Skills and Experience
A minimum of 5 years of payroll processing and payroll tax administration.
Experience with the Workday payroll system.
Knowledge of state payroll tax regulations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong software skills including Office 365 and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to see and sort a variety of printed and online information.
Ability to work at a computer and/or on the phone for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, arm and hand motion.
Ability to work additional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays occasionally as needed to meet payroll deadlines.
