Gift planner, Mountain West and Northwest regions

Though raised in California, I always felt like Salt Lake City was home, because that's where my three phenomenal grown daughters live. So, in 2014, I moved to Salt Lake City and started my career with Best Friends. But even before being hired at Best Friends, I was already familiar with the organization. I always felt that the Best Friends values of kindness, transparency and love reflected my own.

Prior to joining the Best Friends family, I led fundraising efforts in Northern California at a food bank for people with HIV/AIDS and at Canine Companions for Independence, an agency that places highly trained assistance dogs with people who have disabilities. In Utah, I spent several years in development at Utah's Hogle Zoo, KUED Channel 7 PBS, and Utah Youth Village. I'm a graduate of the University of Southern California and of the Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. In my spare time, I enjoy freelance writing, hiking, making therapy visits to hospitals with my dogs and serving as a coach for TEDxSaltLakeCity speakers.

I believe there are few things in life more precious than the animal-human bond, and I cherish the animals in my life: Alvin, a failed foster Labrador; Kos, a Lab/golden mix; and Toby and Harrison, two rescued cats. We live in Salt Lake City.
