Marla Browne

Marla BrownCommunity Cat Program Manager

Marla Browne found her way to Best Friends by way of a sata (the Puerto Rican word for “street dog”) named Rio. Finding Rio on the streets of San Juan set in motion the first domino on the course that ultimately led Marla to Best Friends. She initially volunteered virtually for Best Friends, and then later visited and volunteered at the Sanctuary. When she was hired as an employee in Dogtown, she worked as a caregiver and team lead for four years and then worked remotely as a specialist with the Best Friends Network. She feels she is able to help animals exponentially.

Marla and her partner, Scott, share their Colorado mountain home with five dogs, who they refer to as the three “pointy-eared” ones and the two “floppy-eared” ones.
