Emma is a sweet, mellow, and silly girl who loves nothing more than soaking up the sun, enjoying a cozy cuddle, or snoozing through a car ride—she’s an excellent passenger and settles right in. She’s friendly with people and happily accepts gentle affection, showing her affectionate side more and more as she gets comfortable. On leash, Emma enjoys stopping to sniff the world around her and walks politely without much pulling. She prefers a little personal space around other dogs and does best with calm introductions and clear guidance. Emma does well when left alone, has had positive experiences with children, and can thrive in a home with structure and patience. With her gentle nature and growing confidence, Emma has all the makings of a wonderful lifelong companion. To meet Emma, visit the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center at 1845 Pontius Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90025. We're open daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. You can also email us at adoptla@bestfriends.org. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved. Come by and see if Emma is the perfect match for you!

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
