Meet Black Beard, a big-hearted, affectionate 9-year-old boy who greets you with a wagging tail and friendly, relaxed body language. He’s very treat-motivated, knows how to sit, and waits patiently to be leashed. Black Beard enjoys getting outside to sniff, explore, and take in his surroundings, and once he settles into a walk, he moves along nicely without reacting to people, cars, or other dogs. In the yard, he’ll happily investigate, play with a toy for a bit, and then focus on his favorite thing—getting pets and attention. When he gets overly excited, he responds well to gentle redirection and treats. Overall, Black Beard is a loving, eager-to-please companion who would thrive with continued positive reinforcement and an affectionate home.
