Meet Lucas! Lucas is still getting used to kennel life and learning that he’s safe — and once he realizes you’re a friend, his sweet personality shines through. When approached calmly, Lucas wakes up curious and comes right over to say hello. He’ll greet you with the softest little meow, lean into your hand for pets, and happily soak up gentle head scratches. Once he’s comfortable, he starts making biscuits like a pro… and yes, he’s such a happy guy that he might even drool a little while he’s purring away. Lucas is looking for a patient, loving home that will give him the time he needs to fully settle in. In return, you’ll get a tender, affectionate companion who truly appreciates his people. Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.
