Hi, I’m Whittaker! I’m a 2-month-old brown and white tabby kitten with a soft coat, bright eyes, and a big curiosity about absolutely everything. The world feels huge and exciting right now, and I’m doing my best to explore it one tiny adventure at a time. I love to play—especially with anything that moves when I pounce on it (I’m still convinced I’m very stealthy). Toys, shadows, toes… if it wiggles, I’m interested. I’m learning new things every day, and I’m pretty proud of how fast I’m growing into my brave little kitten self. When I’m not busy investigating, I’m a sweet, snuggly guy who enjoys curling up somewhere cozy and recharging for my next round of kitten adventures. I’ve got a soft purr and an even softer heart once I feel safe with you. I’m still learning all the important kitten manners, so I’ll need a patient family to guide me as I grow. I promise I’ll try my best—and I learn fastest when there are treats and gentle encouragement involved. If you’re looking for a gentle little explorer to grow up by your side, I think I’d love to be your Whittaker

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
