Berlioz is a sweet, smart, and delightfully chatty companion who settles into home life with ease and quickly makes it clear—he loves being around his people. He’ll happily follow you from room to room, offering little conversations along the way. Berlioz enjoys being a lap cat and relaxing right next to you. He’s highly intelligent (and a bit of a problem solver!), especially when it comes to treat puzzles—or even opening doors if they stand between him and his humans. While he’s not overly playful, he enjoys the occasional pompom or catnip toy and loves lounging by the window, watching the world go by. Berlioz would thrive in a home where he can soak up plenty of love, attention, and a few tasty treats along the way. To meet Berlioz, visit the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center at 1845 Pontius Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90025. We're open daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. You can also email us at adoptla@bestfriends.org. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved. Come by and see if Berlioz is the perfect match for you!

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
