Tigra is currently in foster care and ready for adoption via our virtual process! Tigra is an eight-year-old female. She loves sunny window spots and watching birds. She’s a very quiet, loyal companion who enjoys both her own space and snuggling into yours. Here’s what we know so far about his time in foster care: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:bcbd9271-8a5a-49bb-9d04-… Her foster says "Tigra settled in very quickly, she is outgoing and very sweet! She isn't afraid of loud noises and quickly explored my apartment. She now loves finding a new spot to sleep every night, even sometimes next to me. She loves being brushed and playing with a wand toy! " She’s described as a laid-back couch potato who is affectionate, enjoys being brushed, and loves playtime with toys. Cardboard scratchers are a favorite, too. She is not overly fond of dogs. She is very gentle and affectionate. She's very affectionate especially in the morning and right before bed. She will sleep near you and especially likes to get under the covers. Tigra is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had preventative treatments to ensure she is ready for her next steps. Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via phone or email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved.

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
