Thomas is currently in foster care and ready for adoption via our virtual process! Thomas is a 6-year-old deaf pup weighing a bit over 75 lbs. with a big personality. He’s smart, energetic, and loves his ball more than anything else! Thomas has worked with trainers to learn hand signals and responds well to structure and routine. Learn more about his time in foster care here: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:19a6fc86-bc49-4da5-97c7-… Thomas is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, with an adopter who can give him consistency, patience, and plenty of playtime. With the right match, Thomas will thrive as a loyal and loving companion. His foster says that during his stay with them he was "So friendly! Followed me everywhere which was adorable!, had a calm demeanor, LOVES to play anytime i brought out his toys, ate all of his breakfast & dinner with no problem, and slept through the night, cuddled under the blankets. ". He "LOVES TENNIS BALLS! and Loves to pay Tug" and is "Super sweet, gentle and cuddly." Recent Adventure Buddy notes say "The sweetest boy! LOVES cuddles and just wants to be around people. He is playful and loves his toys, but also the biggest snuggle bug and will sit right next to you for rubs. He is an angel! So loyal to people who show him care and love." Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via phone or email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org. About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
