Learn more about her time in foster care here: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:9e9e6296-d806-4d68-8602-… Belize is a beautiful 4 year old black female with a shiny coat and a lovely purr. She is friendly, affectionate, and loves spending time with people, making her a sweet and charming companion. Belize is the sweetest cat. She has beautiful black fur, big green eyes, and the softest coat. She has a calm and affectionate personality and is friendly to everyone she meets. She loves attention, has a soft purr, and makes biscuits when she’s happy (even in the air while lounging on her side). Belize has perfect manners and doesn’t jump on kitchen counters. She is a gentle, loving cat who clearly enjoys being around people. She will cutely meow to ask for attention & pets. "Belize settled into her foster home quickly and was not shy at all the first night. She was happy to explore the room and even ventured out to the rest of the apartment to say hi to the roommates. Belize has been a well behaved cat who loves pets and asks for them by bumping into your hand. She loves to meow to ask for attention. Belize is an extremely well mannered cat ...,she has shown no aggression whatsoever. She loves to nap close to you. My favorite thing about Belize is her friendly personality. She is a great companion." Belize is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and had preventative treatments to ensure she is ready for her new home. Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via phone or email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved.

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
