Ray is a ten-year-old male. He is happy to spend his day patrolling his territory from a sunny windowsill or entertaining himself with a catnip-filled toy. He is very affectionate and an all around great guy. Ray is on a special diet because of missing teeth, so he can't chew as well as a cat with a full set of teeth, he is happy and healthy with a variety of wet and mushy foods. He is a chirping, playful, sweet guy with a great personality.
Rays Foster says he is wonderful companion "Ray is a sweet and calm presence in the apartment. My roommate says he’s a velcro kitty because he is always by me. He purrs all the time - while he eats, while he plays, as soon as he sees me ... Just a darn sweet, lovable guy. Ray made himself comfortable within an hour of being brought home. The first week his main events were napping, following me around the apartment, head scratches and making muffins while getting brushed. He is a perfect gentleman when in his carrier, riding in cars. He recently had the last of his teeth removed, which doesn’t stop him from being a vocal, chirping boy. The 8th day a switch flipped and his energy came back, will a playful side. He loves chasing his soft mouse toys, going from one rug to another. Ray certainly loves being nearby but doesn’t want to be in your lap, but on the couch with you at all times. He is incredibly sweet, well behaved and has a big appetite! He purrs throughout every activity. He also basically fetches his toys and is a very independent player. It is fun to get him started and let him amuse himself. "
Ray has tested positive for FIV, an autoimmune condition that is not transmissible to humans nor other species and does not typically impact quality or longevity of life. Our adoptions team will be happy to answer any questions and provide additional information.
Ray is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and had preventative treatments to ensure he is ready for his new home.
