Meet Croissant — Getting Ready for the Big Day! Croissant is currently offsite at our veterinary clinic for a couple of days for their (neuter) appointment. Once they’ve had their procedure and a little time to rest, they’ll be all set and ready to head home with their new family! While Croissant isn’t available for an in-person meet-and-greet at the moment, you can still start the adoption process. Submitting an adoption inquiry now helps us get everything lined up so that as soon as they’re back and cleared, they can go home without delay. Check back soon for updates—Croissant will be back from their appointment before you know it and ready to start their next chapter with you!

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.
