Midnight is currently in foster care and ready for adoption via our virtual process! Midnight is a sweet boy! Here’s what we know so far about his time in foster care: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:875b35b5-fb08-4811-8a07-… Midnight is a handsome 2 year old boy. He has a crumpled ear that adds to his charm. He is a bit shy until he is comfortable in a new environment with new people and will benefit from some extra patience as he settles in. His foster says "He is shy and quiet and needs a few days to adjust to new places and people, but once he settles in he is incredible sweet, social, and affectionate. He loves to receive pets and follow people around underfoot, or lay nearby and roll to show his belly. He loves touch and affection, and although he's not there yet I could see him being a lap cat in the future as he gets more comfortable and less shy. He also loves to play! He's very sweet and he has very cute soft and squeaky meows that he loves to greet me with. He is already very sweet and social, but over time I think he will continue to build confidence and socialization. I've started to pick him up and he really enjoys the close touch (with lots of purring) even though being picked up makes him a little nervous ..." He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped , and had preventative treatments to ensure he is ready for his next steps. Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via phone or email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved.

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
