Kelly Morton
Director of Stewardship
As Best Friends' Director of Stewardship, Kelly's vision is for every member, adopter, visitor, volunteer and partner to have a positive experience and report high satisfaction when they interact and engage with Best Friends, whether it's in-person at the Sanctuary and our lifesaving centers or through personal contact via communication channels.
Kelly oversees Best Friends' donor relations and thank-you call programs, as well as stewardship reporting and recognition. One of her favorite parts of her job is collaborating with founders and staff across the organization to share the amazing work that Best Friends and our partners are doing to Save Them All, and that our wonderful supporters make possible.
A longtime member of Best Friends, Kelly had her beginnings with the organization as a brand strategy consultant and a member of the Best Friends Board of Directors. Kelly officially joined the organization in 2009 as Senior Manager of Market Intelligence and Brand Strategy. She oversaw marketing for a time and then transitioned to development, helping to launch the Campaign to Save Them All.
Prior to coming to Best Friends, Kelly was Director of Brand Strategy for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, where she worked for 15 years.
Kelly, along with her husband, Roger, and their dog, Monty, splits her time between Jacksonville, Florida, and a town about the size of Kanab, Utah, in upstate New York. She looks forward to meeting you sometime soon.
