Stephanie Macgill

Director of Foundation Partnerships

Stephanie Macgill is the Director of Foundation Partnerships at Best Friends. Her role includes overseeing foundation partnerships team strategy, leading the development of new foundation partnerships, providing oversight of the organization's largest foundation relationships, and leading a high-functioning team of relationship managers and development officers in their proposal development, grants management, reporting and stewardship efforts.

A grants professional with more than 17 years of nonprofit experience, Stephanie worked in different health and human services fields, including child welfare and homelessness services, before coming to the field of animal welfare. She has led Best Friends' grant writing and foundation partnerships team since 2015 and has presented at the Best Friends National Conference twice.

Stephanie has a master's degree in public administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a B.A. in liberal arts from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. She is from West Virginia, has two Chihuahuas, Susan and Philip, and is an avid skier.
