America's dog, the pit bull terrier: The brave and free
Need a cure for the Monday blues? Our photo feature is here to help provide a brief diversion from your workday routine with a small dose of squee, wow and awwww. Enjoy!
There’s a reason pit bull terriers are known as America’s dog. They have a patriotic history that includes Stubby, who earned the rank of sergeant during World War II. However, these pictures show that current day pit bulls still display that national pride — on Independence Day and every day. However, given some of the goofy costumes they’re wearing in celebration of the holiday, we also think they’re pretty brave.
