Internship Opportunities at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Animal care internships at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah, are open to candidates seeking a career in animal welfare, as well as other candidates who have equivalent life and work experience. The minimum age to participate is 18. All interns must arrange for their own lodging and provide their own transportation during their internship.

Paid internship positions are offered in all six animal care areas; Bunny House, Cat World, Dogtown, Horse Haven (includes goats and pigs), Parrot Garden, and Wild Friends. We are no longer accepting applications for the 2025 Sanctuary internship session. Please check back to this page in late fall for information regarding our 2026 session.
