Oh Giving Tree, Oh Giving Tree
We’ve decked the halls of the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center and decorated the tree. The adoptable dogs and cats have their special gifts of love and laughter wrapped up in their hearts, ready to deliver.
And all through December, we’ve teamed up with Hallmark Gold Crown so you can take a special brand of joy home with you at a reduced adoption fee. Every dog, cat, kitten and puppy six months or older can be adopted for just $25 now through the end of the month.
You can see the festive felines available online, unless someone else whisks them away first.
And just because they aren’t online, rest assured there are plenty of dogs sweeter than sugarplums for adoption. Different dogs come to the center each day from Best Friends shelter partners in Salt Lake County, West Valley City and Davis County. They are only on site during center hours, so you’ll just have to come by every day until you meet the one who rings your bell. Even with reduced adoption fees, every pet is already spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
While you’re at the center, please be sure to check out our giving tree. It’s decorated with special keepsake ornaments featuring the logos for both Best Friends and No-Kill Utah, and "Together, we can Save Them All", which you can “purchase” at different donation amounts. Each decoration has a different amount on it ranging from $10 to $500, plus an explanation of the difference that amount can make for the animals. For example, a $25 ornament can cover the cost of spay/neuter for one dog or cat to prevent litters. A $100 ornament can provide care for orphaned newborn kittens in the nursery.
So bring home a new furry friend who will jingle all the way down your hall with toys and then settle in for a long winter’s nap with you. It’s the perfect way to make your days merry and bright beyond the holiday season.
