Meet Silas, a 2-year-old gentleman who likes nothing more than a good snuggle. He is very smart and learns tricks easily. He already knows sit and shake and is getting pretty good at catching treats. He walks nicely on a leash and is even working on his off-leash skills. Silas enjoys long walks and frolicking in the water, although he hasn't quite figured out the swimming part yet. On rainy days, his favorite game is searching around the house for hidden treats, putting his nose and brain to work. When it’s time to relax, he’s happiest curled up next to you on the couch for a cozy cuddle session. He’s potty trained and does well being left alone either in or out of the crate, as long as tempting snacks are kept off the counter. Silas gets along great with both people and animals and loves greeting everyone with his big smile. He’s looking for an adventure partner and snuggle buddy and would love to meet you! Visit the Best Friends Pet Resource Center at 1312 Melissa Drive, Bentonville, AR 72712, open daily 11am–7pm. For more information, contact adoptnwa@bestfriends.org. About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
