Catawba County Animal Services (CCAS) is a county operated animal shelter in Newton, North Carolina. CCAS provides Animal Control services as well as oversees the daily operations of the shelter. At CCAS, it is our everyday goal to educate the public on pertinent animal ordinances and laws as well as raise awareness in regards to general animal welfare issues. The shelter is dedicated to the housing and care of sick, injured, neglected, unwanted, and stray animals. Through teamwork, compassion, and dedication CCAS strives to save lives and complete families by continually focusing on public education, a high standard of animal care, our ever-growing foster, adoption, and volunteer programs, as well as strengthening invaluable animal welfare connections.

Ranging from animal shelters and rescue groups to spay/neuter and trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) organizations, they collaborate with Best Friends to save even more lives in every corner of the country.
