The Humane Society of Fremont County (HSFC) is an independent, non-profit agency. We are an open-admission animal shelter providing animal-services to all of Fremont County and Custer County, Colorado. The HSFC is not a division of the Fremont County government or the city. Our shelter is not operated by the Humane Society of the United States nor do we receive a single penny from the HSUS to support our work with homeless animals. We are an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) corporation governed by a board of directors.

The Best Friends Network is comprised of thousands of animal welfare groups from every single state, all working to save the lives of pets in their own communities.

Ranging from animal shelters and rescue groups to spay/neuter and trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) organizations, they collaborate with Best Friends to save even more lives in every corner of the country.

Best Friends provides marketing help, fundraising events, webinars, grants, and other resources so that, together, we can Save Them All.
