Planned PEThood of Georgia

Planned PEThood of Georgia is a partner of Best Friends, working together to save the lives of dogs and cats in communities like yours across the country

The Best Friends Network is made up of thousands of public and private shelters, rescue groups, spay/neuter organizations, and other animal welfare groups — all working to save the lives of dogs and cats in communities like yours across the country.

From Planned PEThood of Georgia

Planned PEThood of Georgia is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit with 16 years of lifesaving impact. Based in Duluth, we provide vital, mission-driven services that directly support pets and the communities they live in across Metro-Atlanta and Northeast Georgia.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we address the root causes of pet overpopulation and expand access to care. We help keep dogs and cats healthy, families together, animals out of shelters, and prevent suffering before it starts.
Our charitable services include low-cost spay and neuter surgeries, affordable veterinary care, free vaccine clinics, TNVR for community cats (feral and friendly strays), humane education, and pet fostering and adoption.

Foster a pet

Fostering a pet is a short-term commitment with long-term impact. By opening your home to a dog or cat for even a few days, you can save lives.
