From Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills Inc.
Our Missioin Statement: To improve quality of life and promote the responsible way to treat all pets.
We have been no-kill from our inception; when all other shelters weren't we were. We organized in 1995, first as grassroots in garages and homes of volunteers. We have had a shelter building for almost 25 years. Our normal capacity is 85/100 felines and 20/25 canines, but many times we are way over that! We offer low cost spay/neuter services for the public via a mobile veterinarian we have aligned with. The area that we serve is in rural Western Maine and primarily has a low income demographic. The population of the towns that we serve is approximately 42,000.
How is your community doing when it comes to lifesaving?
Our partners support each other and inspire their own communities to increase lifesaving of dogs and cats across the country.
