Our positive, whimsical vibe welcomes people who, for various reasons, prefer to buy their pets from stores or breeders. We aim to take away the stigma associated with animal shelters and its animals and attract a diverse crowd looking to welcome a four (or three!) legged addition to their family. Shelter Chic strives to educate the average pet-lover about the importance of adoption and other issues relating to animal welfare in a friendly and fun way. We provide these cats with necessary medical treatment, including spay/neuter if needed. Each cat is placed in our foster homes. We work to educate the public about the importance of spaying & neutering to reduce the overpopulation of unwanted animals.

East Orange Animal Alliance's mission is to provide resources that enable the City of East Orange to most effectively care for its at-risk animals and support the people who are dedicated to them. Our volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization carries out this mission by fundraising for needs above and beyond the City of East Orange Animal Shelter's budget, increasing exposure for the shelter's adoptable animals, funding shelter diversion programs to keep pets in homes, and connecting the shelter's animals with adopters and rescue groups.
