In 2009, our organization was founded on one fundamental principle that has guided us ever since. They Matter! As simple as it sounds, we believe every animal deserves to be treated with compassion and dignity regardless of breed, age, or medical needs. We strive to obliterate the unnecessary suffering of animals and pave the grounds for a better, brighter future. We aim to provide lifesaving medical attention to abandoned and neglected animals in need. Our community outreach program has helped countless pet families who struggled with pet food or emergency veterinary care costs. This initiative halts numerous owner relinquishments annually, keeping the pressure off the already overcapacity shelter system.

Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter's mission is three-fold: 1. To provide care for homeless companion animals; 2. To promote spaying/neutering, microchipping and education about animal welfare; and 3. To place homeless cats and dogs in loving, permanent homes.

Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue, Inc. is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of Cocker Spaniels and other dogs in need of loving forever homes. We will not reject any dog due to age or health reasons and often accept dogs with temperament and/or medical issues.We rely solely on donations whether through adoptions or the generosity of the public to help pay for the veterinary care of sick, physically disabled, and behaviorally challenged dogs.

Our main charges include removal and/or control of stray animals that may be found on the streets of Parsippany, overseeing pet adoptions, and control of disease, particularly rabies, among wild and domestic animals.

The mission of People for Animals is to prevent animal suffering through affordable essential healthcare, public policy advocacy, and community programs.

Our mission is to never say no to an animal in need. We provide aid to sick and homeless animals in the greater New York City area, including medical care, shelter and foster home access, spay/neuter, and vaccinations. We help the local community with abandoned and abused animals. In 2021, we took in 820 animals, and completed 519 adoptions. Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary is a non-profit organization formed to help rescue and find homes for German Shepherd dogs in need and to help support other rescue and shelter organizations in finding homes for German Shepherd dogs. Our primary focus is saving adult and senior German Shepherds and mixes.

Hudson Valley Humane Society is a full-service animal welfare organization, no-kill for > 40 years. Incorporated in 1891, we are one of the earliest SPCAs established in the US. We care for abused, abandoned, and unwanted animals. Our mission is to pursue animal welfare at its core, to speak for those who cannot, to protect the innocent, and to provide a safe haven, no matter the duration, for all animals under our care.

Timber's Legacy is a small Queens, NY based cat rescue that is staffed entirely by volunteers. We were formed for the purpose of improving the quality of life for homeless, neglected and abandoned cats through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming.We take cats that have been abandoned, friendly strays and cats that have unfortunately found themselves on the NYC ACC at risk list. Approximately 25% of our cats are special needs. All of our cats are provided with the highest quality veterinary care. As we do not have a physical shelter, all are housed in foster homes until such time as their forever home is found.

Stray from the Heart is a non-profit, volunteer based dog rescue organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and place homeless dogs with loving new families. Working directly with domestic and international outreach organizations and centers for Animal Care and Control, we rescue, rehabilitate and find homes for homeless dogs without the benefit of paid employees or a shelter facility to house our dogs.

Brooklyn Animal Action strives to make a difference. We are a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress. Working with our communities, we facilitate Trap-Neuter-Release programs, find homes for adoptable animals, perform community outreach and education, and engage in advocacy. Since our founding in 2010, BAA has rehomed nearly 500 cats, as well as the occasional dog or pigeon.

Rebound Hounds believes that there's a great home for every dog. How to make that happen is the real work of rescue. We're committed to bringing dogs and guardians together who are right for each other. We do it by knowing the dog, and knowing the prospective guardian. First, we know the dogs we place. We seek out temperament evaluations from ACC staff and ACC volunteers in the attempt to pair dogs with the right home.

We are a foster-based small animal rescue group. All of the animals in our care are immediately placed into foster homes until their perfect match can be found. Our founder has nearly 30 years experience training dogs and other animals. Through her work as a professional trainer, she has gained a special understanding of the human/dog dynamic.
